Update on Network Architecture Discovery

Hello everyone, this is your Monday morning wake up call!!

Today we begin a four-week discovery with two principal vendors, Bridge Digital and WebRTC.ventures, as well as several other advisors, artists, technologists who will be commenting and providing feedback on the vendor sessions.

This discovery is focused on the Zakros network architecture, with special attention to the implementation of the Third Space Network Television (3SNtv) AWS pipeline. We are also looking at ways to provide better latency and synchronicity to live remote performers, particularly musicians. It also looks at the public viewing experience, including home theater, Web, and head-mounted display devices.

One of the key things that came out of my recent work on a newly designed network architecture schematic, is the layering of the public-oriented Zakros Commons delineated from the underlying workflow layer of production and broadcast. These two main layers comprise a cyclical structure that feeds public experience into production and broadcast and then back into the public experience, and continues to loop around as you can see in the schematic.
